2nd Birthday Partaeee
So, the flu, as influenza, I think hit our house. We were never tested but within 2 weeks we all felt like death warmed over… is that the right phrase? Or do I have it wrong, like most times? Luckily for all our family, my niece’s birthday party wasn’t on her birthday and we were all kind of on the mend. It was rough going there for a while…. yikes! Hubby made sure to get Ambyr with icing before she could attack him. I think we actually made it through one family gathering… Christmas maybe… without the food war… It was definitely overdue!
Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits (Weight Watchers approved!!)
I really planned on posting these earlier in the week… I mean how can you keep something oh so good a secret? Except this thing called the Plague, or technically a flu or cold bug took my house over and bam, we were all sick. I didn’t even get out of bed on Tuesday. It was that bad.
Crockpot Pizza
The other day I got it in my head I wanted pizza. I’ve seen multiple times where you could make pizza in a Crockpot and the skeptical part of me wasn’t sure I believed it, so I obviously had to try for myself. I read through a couple different recipes to see if I had all the ingredients. Once I found out I did, away I went….
Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
I’ve been in the mood to make cookies. We’re talking 4 days of wanting to make cookies. I look at the oatmeal and think, I want oatmeal cookies. In fact, to be more specific I wanted the Buncha Crunch Oatmeal Cookies but I didn’t have a bag of Buncha Crunch.
With a Moo Moo here and a Moo Moo there….
Being as though it is winter, we can’t leave an automatic waterer hooked up to the stock tank. This is the first week that the cows have been at my MIL’s house. So far, so good. Every day we go over, check on cows, fill the water, and just make sure it’s all overall good.
Plans are a couple times per week to feed them range cubes and haul hay over just to make sure, but look at that grass. I swear it’s almost waist high on me and I’m 5’7″ with most of that in my legs. It’s lovely.
Yesterday however, we pulled into my MIL’s house and didn’t find the cows. Dad got a little worried, so he opened the gate and we drove off into the pasture. We found them all the way at the back of her land. No big deal. We had a bag of range cubes so we went ahead and fed them the bag.
Now here’s the funny part of the story… As I went to pull back out of the gate into my MIL’s yard I hit a huge pile of wet cow poop, spun out, and slung poop everywhere. I’m surprised my dad didn’t get in the truck covered because I covered the gate and he was standing there by the gate. Whoops. Otherwise, all good so far!!
