So, if you remember I told her about how my grandma always got me socks for Christmas and after she passed away I looked at my mom and asked who was going to buy me socks now. Tbug said she would.
Well, if you remember back to my birthday (July 30 – I haven’t really talked about it because birthday photos were on my desktop and we were at my parents house for about a week because of the AC… anyway) Miss Tbug came through for me…
Life has been hectic lately to say the least. It’s so funny how things go from slow, calm, kind of dull to fast paced, warp speed ahead. I think I’m kind of there right now.
Monday & Tuesday of this week I was traveling for work. I’ve never traveled for work so this was quite a change in itself. This was also the first time away from my husband since we’ve been married so we were seeing a few challenges. But in the end it all worked out. That’s the most important part.
Every bump in the road just makes us stronger! As long as we prevail, that’s the most important thing!

After my nasty cold last week I’ve been left with a persistent cough. Hubby went out and got me cough drops to sooth my sore throat, and we noticed that they give you peptalks. I thought it was oddly cute :). Enjoy!
I’m actually traveling this week for work. I’ve never traveled for work so this is a new experience. That’s probably partly the reason for a second restaurant review in 1 week since generally I try to keep them down to 1. I’m not at home cooking though, so restaurant review you get. And boy is this place yummy!
One of the locals here for work suggested it. Joe Boccardi’s. We are up here by St. Louis in a little town called Eureka. Now some of you may recognize this because we are in fact in a Holiday Inn across the street from Six Flags.
We plugged Joe Boccardi’s into our GPS and it took us into a cute little place in what I assume was downtown Eureka. This is Italian food, I was sold!
So here I am, Monday night, in a King sized bed, in a hotel room, the first time away from my husband since we’ve been married. I’m a little sad so when I packed my clothes I packed one of hubbys shirts sprayed with his cologne. At least I somewhat feel close to him. All my friends who do this on a regular basis, you’re so strong! I’ll quit whining now :).
Where am I and why? I’m on a trip for work. I’ve never traveled for work so this is new and different. I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit sad not getting to go to bed next to my husband. And I’m writing my post for tomorrow tonight. I have nothing to do and am a bit bored. Maybe depending on how tomorrow goes I’ll share with you my trip, but so far, today was mainly just sitting in a car for about 4 hrs.
So I thought I would share with you how to get photos blog read via Photoshop Elements. Remember I already told you how to do this without PSE, now I’ll show how to do it with :).
1. Open your photo. Simple enough!
2. Click on File –> Save for Web
3. Now you’ll wind up with a window similar to this. Hubby asks me why it’s double photos and for that I do not know… if someone does, please share!
I am not a seafood fan. Let’s state that for the record. However when I was asked where I wanted my birthday dinner I chose Red Lobster. Why, you may ask. Well, I like their biscuits. They are the bomb diggity! Plus I love their Cajun Chicken Pasta. Yep, that’s right, I went to a fish place for chicken pasta. It happens :).
I’m not sure if I actually told you or not that our AC went out in our house. We walked in a week ago Friday night and it was friggin hot in our house. Not a great start to the weekend. I am happy to say it’s finally fixed and a week later we were back in our house.
So as I explain in the first clip of the video, I couldn’t sleep on Thursday night and I started watching video’s. These clips other than the first are from July 8, 2010. They are very random. So I hope you enjoy this short piece into our lives 🙂
I was driving down the road yesterday and things just started hitting me… if…. if…. if…. if. And not the Metlife What If, remember that commercial? No, like if I had a theme song, what would it be?If I could choose my car, the body I have, something I secretly wish I could do, that kind of if. So I thought I would share. Maybe it gives you a better perspective on me? By the way, if I was uber rich, I would own a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes just to say I had a pair. I also want a pair of Lucchese 2000 Ostrich Boots. Just thought I’d throw those out there too 🙂
Dream Body: Jennifer Aniston’s body from Just Go With It. Sorry, but it’s true. She’s gorgeous, especially at 40! She looks better in her 40’s than I did in my 20’s!

Something drastic to change my look: I’ve always thought it would be interesting to die my hair dark. Maybe not black, but dark brown. Kind of Courtney Cox dark brown or Fran Drescher.
Language I’d like to learn: Oddly enough Greek &/or French. Neither of which would probably ever do me any good but… hey. My grandma was half Greek. And come on, the Eiffel Tower is in France… LOL 🙂
Place I’d like to visit: Greece. All the pictures I’ve seen are absolutely GORGEOUS!
Future House: Truth be told, I want my grandma’s house (dad’s side)! Apparently the building plans are still in the safe so if I ever wanted to build one like it I could. It was built in the 30’s designed by my great-grandma (grandpa’s mom). Yes I said great GRANDMA. btw, if I could ever meet a family member I never had, she’d definitely be one of them! Another one would be my Great Grandpa who was from Greece (my mom’s side). When he and his brother’s moved here, he changed his name because he wanted to be thought of as an American. His name was to foreign for his liking. He died when my grandma was 5.
Vehicle: Call me strange, but I really like my car. I drive a 2011 Hyundai Elantra. Now I’ve always loved big trucks, and that would be nice too. If I had the money, maybe I’d own one of each… drive whatever suited my fancy on that particular day, however… truthfully I’m pretty low maintenance and I really like my car.

Profession: Truthfully, I’m a people person. I couldn’t do the stay at home thing because I like to talk to people. It would be nice to not have to work… but I don’t mind it either. But my dream job would be Farmer (I know you don’t see many people there either) &&&&& The Farm Bureau Ag In the Classroom coordinator. OMG, the one here in Missouri, she has the best job! From what I’ve seen anyway :). She must think so too because she’s been at it for years!
So what are some hidden things about yourself, that people might not know right away?
I swear, if this cold doesn’t kill me… I’m going to be a survivor! LOL. It’s moved from a head cold to my throat/chest. My cough is something fierce and it hurts like a son of a gun! I keep claiming at work I have on my sexy voice. You know, people who claim to have seductive voices are all deep and dark and whatever. Ok so mine isn’t quite seductive and every few breaths I cough up a storm, but still, I got my sexy voice on :).
Friday night we went to Target trying to buy Sudafed. Yeah, apparently because of the drug addicts you can’t buy it in Joplin City Limits anymore. Woohooo! {supposedly it’s used for Meth. I have no idea what Meth is… other than the obvious… a drug…} You have to go to another town. I happened to be there and didn’t feel like going else where so I just didn’t get any meds.
Saturday after running around all day I felt kind of like death warmed over so my mom was trying to get me to buy some meds and well…. I didn’t. Don’t know why. So hubby and mom schemed and mom went to town and got me some. Hubby told her to get Sudafed, she didn’t. I wound up with Nyquil which doesn’t work real great for me and Mucinex for day time. Holy cow those are like friggin horse pills! And I’ve seen horse pills.
Then they didn’t believe I was going to take them or that I was taking them so they kept asking me like I was a 6 year old if I took medicine. LOL.
So it has slowly traveled down to my throat and chest. It makes for a lovely combination. I can’t hear squat because of the pressure, I can’t breath or taste anything I’m eating or drinking. I have my sexy voice and a soar throat and a cough that would compete with a smoker’s cough. I’m a mess.
Oh and because I can’t breath I’m breathing through my mouth which causes me to cough and my lips are drying out because of the air. It’s a blast. Add that it’s 100 degrees out side, I’m hot and cold at the same time and I’m quite the little walking pair. ha.
And at work on Tuesday some guy told me I needed to go home and get better. I asked him if he was going to pay my bills. He laughed at me : /
So yesterday at lunchtime I guess my hubby felt so bad for me feeling like crap that he called me and told me to go outside, he had something for me. He had some errands to run at lunch and he was on his way back. I was really wondering what he had because anything and everything that has recently been ordered (which is really nothing but a dvd my mom got me) I already had in my possession.
He showed up with a Walgreens sack which included the following:
Vapor Rub for at night b/c we’re almost out VapoInhaler so no one at work has to smell me Blistex b/c he knows I hate Chapstick and my lips are dry and Sudafed.
Don’t let anyone spread rumors that he doesn’t like me!

Do you remember the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Do you remember the portion where his parents meet her family and they bring a Bundt cake? Do you remember her mother trying to say the word Bundt Cake? It cracks me up every time. In fact my husband and I randomly spout out “Bundt Cake”. Trying to say it like she does and probably failing miserably. They had Bundt Cake in the cafeteria yesterday at work. I had to eat a piece in honor of that!
