Book Review: Stone Rules – Samantha Christy

Spread the love

I really liked Samantha Christy’s style of writing. When I was finished with the Mitchell Sisters Trilogy, I went on the hunt to see what else she had written. Turns out she had a trilogy on the Stone Brothers. And Charlie, who made an appearance in Black Roses happened to be the first female character in Stone Rules. Score… We got to stick with the Mitchell Sisters. Totally game for that.

Now back to Christy’s style of writing. I won’t lie, some of the sex scenes that she writes are enough to make me blush. I guess that’s what you get when you read romance novels. They weren’t as bad as 50 Shades of Gray… and for the record, no, I did not read that book all the way through. I made it 25% of the way because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It made me freak out to the point I slammed my kindle shut at the time and sat on it. I was sitting on an airplane headed to Las Vegas. Hubby was sitting next to me and wondered what my problem was.

I couldn’t do that book, 25% and I was out and I’ve never tried again. Yup, you can hashtag truth that. Sad but true maybe, but true none the less.

Stone Rules – Samantha Christy (A Stone Brother’s Trilogy)

CHARLIE DOESN’T PLAY BY THE RULES…

She likes sleeping with men.
Sometimes it’s not a choice.

Life hasn’t been easy for Charlie. Her mother was a monster. And when Charlie left home, there wasn’t always a warm bed, food, or a hot shower.

She figured out how to get by on her looks.

When her mother dies and she comes home to put that part of her life behind her, she finds the diary.
It fills her with rage.

She’s out for revenge.

But along the way she meets him.
Ethan DOES play by the rules. And at the top of his list is “Don’t get involved with clients.”

Will he break his rules for Charlie?

**Stone Rules can be read as a standalone contemporary romance novel. It is the 1st book in the Stone Brothers series.

**Note to reader – this book contains sensitive material and is suggested for those over 18.

Thoughts

Wow. Charlie is something else. That first phrase… Charlie doesn’t play by the rules might be an understatement. Although, I’m cool with the ending. The middle… hm… obviously you need a point to climax to and wow. Haha… I just read that… climax. Oy! Anyway… I believe the word we were looking for is… Anyway.

So truthfully, I wish we had a gym as they describe in this book. The men in the Mitchell Sisters trilogy actually own the gym. How cool is that? Heck, all the characters in these books are rich. Anyway, I really want that gym!

I would also love to be friends with Charlie. She’s one cool chica with quite an interesting story.
