Book Review: Catching Caden – Samantha Christy

Spread the love

Y’all, I know this is a fictional book, but I am now a fan of baseball. haha! I always have liked baseball. I can’t watch it on tv very easily… I prefer to be in the stands. The vibe you get from the stadium helps! But wow…

So Caden is the sister of the main female character of Stone Vows. See, they are all tying in together. The characters are still all appearing. We are starting to get a ways out from the Mitchell Sisters… but still they are appearing a little. Especially because the Mitchell Sisters husbands all own the gym that Caden uses and Murphy eventually starts working at. Hopefully, I didn’t give away too much.

Catching Caden – Samantha Christy

If all they see are her scars – they aren’t looking hard enough.

It was my home run ball that shattered her face.
Right along with her modeling career.

Now it’s my mission to help her rebuild her life.
And get her to love the game that she hates.
The game that dictates my life both on and off the field.

But when the lines of our friendship become blurred, I worry she’ll just be another casualty of my three-strikes rule. The rule I have to protect my money, my future, my heart.
No girl has ever broken it.
I’ve never wanted one too.
Until now.

The question is … will I let her?

Catching Caden is a standalone romance. It is Book One in The Perfect Game Series.

Thoughts

I’m pretty sure these are becoming like Hallmark movies. You know the main male will wind up with the main female… but it is kind of fun to see how the stories play out and how they get there. I was really rooting for Murphy. I love the nicknames that Caden gives her too. My favorite was Old Man Murphy when he thought she was an old Farmer Man.

This woman was so optimistic. I want to be her. In fact, I can picture part of me as her. I’m not weird, I promise. How we got to the ending was a little strange. I wasn’t totally happy with it, but it works. Team Murphy!
