Sunset & Puppy Love

One of my favorite things is a gorgeous sunset.  And if you’ve noticed, the sun is starting to set later and later.  That my friends means summer is coming!  Yey summer!  Hey, I always said I was born in summer, so I love the heat!

Although I love a good rainstorm too, as long as there isn’t bad weather (ie tornadoes) involved.  Just sayin!

But with the schedule I lead, it’s nice to just go out in the field and enjoy sitting there photographing a sunset with my wonderful husband and of course our loving dogs!

The other night when we got home from work I ran in the house, changed clothes and we ran out to watch the sunset.  I thought it might be kind of fun to take some photos with my fisheye lens which I don’t hardly ever play with.  But come on, how seriously cool is this photo 🙂

Then we conned girlfriends into running down in the field where we were staked out, but they had other ideas instead of having their pictures taken… they wanted some lovins.

And of course nothing beats a good belly scratch, Just ask Marlie Boo Boo

You’ve heard the saying, You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours… case in point.

And of course we can’t forget miss Audrey Fur Fur.  Yes that is her full name, Audrey Fur Fur :).

And trust me, when one gets too much attention, the other will let you know, maybe even with a wet willy… just sayin.

And that folks, I’m going to admit, might be a great evening!  🙂

American Bird

When I was a little kid, I couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old, my dad and I were driving down the road in his ’89 Red Chevy S-10.  We were driving out by the house I grew up in that my parents sold when I was around 10 or 11, that’s kind of how I get a rough idea of how old I was.  It was a cloudy day.  My dad and I looked out of the window of the truck and saw a Bald Eagle.  I had never seen an eagle in my life, and he said they weren’t all that common around here.  Unfortunately we didn’t have a camera with us and no one we told seemed to believe us, but we knew!

Jump forward 20something years and a few weeks ago my dad, husband and {step}daughter were riding horses through my grandparents property.  They came back telling me about the bald Eagle they’d seen (eating a dead animal but you really didn’t need to know that).  Not going to lie, I might have been a smidge jealous because I would have liked to have seen that :).  (Not the dead animal part, but the eagle part.)  A couple weeks later when the {step}daughter was over again, we went horse back riding again.  Unfortunately, no bald Eagle this time but Tbug sure pointed out where they saw the last one, multiple times.  I think she was bragging She wanted me to know where she saw it.

She wound up staying at my parents house that afternoon while we headed home to go study for a fun A&P test.  Yes they’re fun, didn’t you know that?  We got about two miles from the house down in the bottoms and hubs and I both looked out the window at the same time and caught a glimpse of a bird.  Upon closer examination, it was in fact a Bald Eagle.

I yelled at hubby to stop about the same time he decided to.  Luckily no one was following us :).  Oddly enough I actually had my long range lens on my camera from earlier in the morning so I pulled it out of the bag just in time for the bird to fly from the field on my side of the road over to hubbys side.  So I gave him the camera and he snapped away.

Unfortunately he she it was flying away from us most of the time so we didn’t get a clear, concise picture of it, but heck, this is better than when I was 5-6 🙂

Exactly….

I had a fairly rough weekend that hasn’t gotten a whole lot better today.  This is really kind of how I feel.  I have a wonderful A&P test tonight, plus I have to get my Stat’s class dropped today b/c otherwise I have a test due tonight.  Yuck!  But I don’t need Stats now (for now anyway), so why take it?

Then last Thursday at work I accidentally sent an email to the wrong person.  Nothing bad, just a tutorial on how to do something.  So his response this morning after a few back and forth emails and my wishing him a happy Monday – Monday is one of the Top seven days of the week and my personal favorite.

I think someone should have him committed… LOL.  Happy Monday everyone!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night

I just grabbed a handful of the 687 photos I took for Christmas.  Now you’ll have to understand, these photos range from putting up the tree, decorating the house, putting together Christmas presents, wrapping, cooking, opening, etc… so yes those photos add up very quickly :).

Because my parent’s rock, we got a new Christmas tree this year.

Out Take with a Story

A couple weeks ago we worked on taking some family photos.

We got some cute ones.. We got some weird ones.  We got some funny ones.

But this one… is GREAT!

My mom conjured up a story for it even… {Hubs don’t be mad at me please!}

My mom said it looks like Hubs farted.  I smelled it.  And Tbug was blaming Audrey for it.

Now in all honesty, hubs had the remote so he knew the camera was getting ready to go off… I really can’t explain me… and Tbug was yelling at Audrey for jumping up on her. and I just noticed the slight almost non-existent bunny ears hubs is giving me… Thanks hunny!
