Do you smell that?
A short history lesson on the type of horses I show, the phrase “Fresh cattle” means a cow that has never been worked by a horse. We aren’t talking that the horse will eat the cattle… LOL

Wow, you might want to start calling our house Old Macdonald’s Farm… LOL So you remember a while back when we had the unexpected chicks show up? Well if you’ll also remember, Pokey and Earl said if we’d get an incubator, they’d give us some eggs to hatch out. So that’s what we did, the…
When I was a little kid, I couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old, my dad and I were driving down the road in his ’89 Red Chevy S-10. We were driving out by the house I grew up in that my parents sold when I was around 10 or 11, that’s…
This week marks 6 year that I haven’t been able to compete at our county fair. I was in 4-H and my project was horses. I competed in the county horse show a few times but it wasn’t really what I wanted to be doing… I show cutting horses, this wasn’t a show. It was…
This weekend was a busy weekend. I was holding off on this post a bit for some numbers to add to it. Now that I have those let’s get started. (be warned this is a photo heavy post!) First thing Saturday morning. I’m talking FIRST. THING. My alarm went off at 5:30am and I was…
Truthfully the last time I attended the adult AQHA World Show my dad said I was 5. I don’t think that counts, at all! So Tbug, Hubby and I got to experience this together. We headed down there Friday night after work so that we could be there first thing Saturday morning. When we got…
Last Thursday night my friend Doti went to a meeting with me. It was a fun summer talent table. When we got ready to leave she mentioned something about going to the Farmer’s Market in Springfield. I went home and told the hubs about it and he made mention that he’d like to go (b/c…

Have a great day!
Horses are such regal and beautiful creatures, you're lucky. I did not think you meant to eat the cows, of course I'm a vegetarian so I suppose I wouldn't 🙂

I'm not familiar with the headgear, bosal part of your gear. Looks interesting, like it would give you more lateral control than the bosal we use. Care to explain it?
How old is the horse? How long has it been cutting?
I really enjoyed reading the posts on your blog. I would like to invite you to come on over to my blog and check it out. God bless, Lloyd
