Do you smell that?
A short history lesson on the type of horses I show, the phrase “Fresh cattle” means a cow that has never been worked by a horse. We aren’t talking that the horse will eat the cattle… LOL

This summer has been really crazy, especially with the addition of our beautiful bundle of joy! Baby girl was born the 26th of June which put her here in time to take to our county fair. She made her first visit to the county fair at 14 days old (2 weeks exactly). There are those…
Update to yesterday’s post – Thanks so much to Sherry, Heather, HickChickBritt, Chell for helping me! It was driving me nuts! I did google it, plus those lovely ladies helped me. I think part of my problem was my maiden name ended in a S however I found out I’d just have added an -es…
I swear all animals on our farm have their own personality. It also seems like if they come and don’t have one, they develop one extremely quick! Squirty is the Dun mare on the left, Blondie is the Palomino on the right. Squirty was raised on our place. Her momma is Cricket and her daddy…
Last weekend was a busy weekend! Hubby, Abug, and I were able to participate once again in the Ride for Life to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. With the sale of our house, it was kind of iffy leading up to the week if we’d be able to go or not. It depended a…
{one} It’s raining this morning. It started pouring as I got in my car to come to work and wouldn’t you know all my umbrellas were in the trunk once I got to work… {two} My feet are still cold too! {three} I think I hurt my back cutting wood this weekend. My back has…
Oh goodness, this month has flown by! Gosh! We’re already at the end of the month and now I’m going to tell you something that happened the first weekend of this month. That was 20 some days ago… But sometimes I get to play catch up and this is one of those things I want…

Have a great day!
Horses are such regal and beautiful creatures, you're lucky. I did not think you meant to eat the cows, of course I'm a vegetarian so I suppose I wouldn't 🙂

My QH used to nip the tips of my shoes when he got bored. Love your photos!

I'm not familiar with the headgear, bosal part of your gear. Looks interesting, like it would give you more lateral control than the bosal we use. Care to explain it?
How old is the horse? How long has it been cutting?
I really enjoyed reading the posts on your blog. I would like to invite you to come on over to my blog and check it out. God bless, Lloyd
