A short history lesson on the type of horses I show, the phrase “Fresh cattle” means a cow that has never been worked by a horse. We aren’t talking that the horse will eat the cattle… LOL

Last night I was standing in the kitchen. The way our house was designed, you can see the back door from the kitchen. Everyone uses the back door. to enter and exit the house unless it’s pouring down rain or slicker than snot. Then usually we use the basement route. Otherwise, EVERYONE uses the back…
This weekend was special. It is our annual Trails for Kids fundraiser. If you have been here anytime at all… you know that usually, we have this ride in April. Also… this year has been “interesting” (to say the least!) so we had to postpone until this past weekend. All summer long we wondered if…
If there is one horse at my house that is loved more than any other horse, it would be Aloha. When it comes to kid broke horses, she’s there. Any horse can have an off day, but in the general realm of life, if she knows a kid is on her back, she’ll take care…
Let’s go out and check on the newbie, shall we? Awe, it looks like it just might be din din time for her. Man, she’s really hungry. Wonder if mommy is swatting at her or a fly? Um… Can I help you? You’re interrupting my dinner. I don’t see you interrupting their dinner…. Now if…
If you were raised on a farm or are a transplant to a farm, you know there are many reasons to take cattle to the sale barn. But if you weren’t raised up around cattle productions, let me tell you some of the reasons that you might take them to the sale barn… Drought –…

I'm not familiar with the headgear, bosal part of your gear. Looks interesting, like it would give you more lateral control than the bosal we use. Care to explain it?
How old is the horse? How long has it been cutting?
