Heart in the Clouds

So how about let’s be totally Random on Friday?  Sounds good to me anyway 🙂

1.  Do you notice what’s in this picture?  (hint: The title gives it away)

Do you see it?  It’s to the upper left side….

2.  If you are a full time farmer, seeing skies like this probably have you torn.  On the one hand it would be GREAT for your crop to get the moisture, but… if you have hay on the ground, you don’t want it getting wet.  Decisions, Decisions!

Head in the Clouds

Hubby and I had a gift certificate to use, so Saturday around 3:45pm we looked at each other and said, what plans do you have?  I don’t have any what do you have?  I don’t have any.  Wanna go use the gift certificate.  Hey sure why not.

Yup that’s how our conversation went.  We also wanted to go to the Camera store, but of course it is only open until 5.  We had to get dressed and then drive there, if we’d make it, it would have been like 15 minutes to spare.  Just so you know, I took us to the wrong part of town and we didn’t make it.  Woops, guess we’ll have to try again another day :(.

Anyway as we were driving I was just looking at the beautiful clouds.  It’s been a very hot and dry summer here in SW MO and clouds have been pretty non-existent too.  After we got those rain showers last week we’ve noticed a few more clouds in the sky, but look how pretty these clouds are.  I was in awe!  And I’m not even sure my photos do the clouds justice at all!

Oh and I have always loved the Charolais bull on top of the house.  (yes it is a statue not a real bull)

But just look at those clouds!  And you probably can’t see it in this picture but the white water tower that is kind of right above the mirror…

Here’s a little better shot.  I didn’t have my telephoto lens on, just my 18-55mm.

But that water tower is where I did my student teaching, get this, 6 years ago.  OMG, seriously, 6 years ago.  Dang I’m getting old :(.

Ok back to looking at the clouds now.

They were all just so mesmerizing!

It looked like any minute they’d just descend down upon us.  They looked so close.

And they’d stuck around pretty well all day long.

Oh well, here’s to day dream in the clouds down I-44… LOL 🙂  finally Missouri had some beautiful skies to share 😉

Happy Thursday!

"Get Up Early"

If there is one phrase I hate to hear it is, “We have to get up early,” followed by “We have to get up earlier than normal.”  Blah!

I’m not a morning person.  Let me be the first to admit that!

So Friday night the conversation went a little something like this:

PC to Tbug: We’ll have to get up a bit earlier than normal tomorrow morning.
Me to PC: Really?  Did you really have to say that?
Tbug to PC: Why daddy?
PC to Tbug: We’re going to an auction in the morning.
PC to me: Why, you know you won’t sleep in anyway.
Me to PC: Yes, but I like having options.  The option to sleep in gives me a better chance to actually sleep in.
PC to me: Oh whatever, you still know you wouldn’t.
Me, I whined some more.
Tbug to PC: Ok daddy, what time do I have to get up

And so the conversation went.

I haven’t ever been a morning person, Not EVER!

So what time do I normally get up for work you may ask?  The alarm goes off at 6:35 (yes a random time) and I get up somewhere between the second time it goes off and the 4th time it goes off.  It goes off every 9 minutes so you can do the math :).

What time did I have to get up on Saturday?  I think PC set the alarm for around 7am.  What time did I actually get up on Saturday?

Before Sunrise.  To be exact… just shy of 6am is when I got up.  And there was  no going back to sleep either :(.

So what do you do at that hour?  Enjoy the peace.

Enjoy the sunrise:

Play with Audrey:

And watch PC work on the pool:

And eventually after the alarm to wake-up finally goes off, get the rugrat out of bed.

All before my first cup of coffee.  Oh wait I don’t drink coffee.  I knew there was something wrong with this picture.  Wake me up when it’s 10am ok 🙂

I’m so glad he decided to marry me 10 months ago Monday (that was July 4th for those of you wondering… and 10 months ago was September 4th, I’m just saying)

All of this brought to you by corn, potatoes, and sausage 🙂

LOL, I love you so much baby!
