Week 10
How far along? 10 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain/loss: Still hanging in around +/-7lbs
How big is baby? The size of a Prune. Now that you’ve reached 10 weeks, you can stop wondering when you’ll start to actually look pregnant. It’s probably right around now, as your baby continues baby’s rapid growth and your tummy starts to develop some extra curve (of course, you still might be the only one who notices). Now baby’s about 1.2 inches long and weighs about .14 ounces. Baby’s body will almost double in the next three weeks.
- Baby has working arm joints. and cartilage and bones are forming.
- Vital organs are fully developed and they’re starting to function
- Fingernails and hair are starting to appear, too
- Plus, baby’s swallowing and kicking in there.
Maternity Clothes? Well, no, not yet… but I have still been wearing hubby’s t-shirts because I feel like I look fat.
Stretch Marks? None that I know of other than originals
Best moment this week? Telling more and more people. I no longer have to hide why I look chunkier. Also seeing the baby on the ultra sound machine again. They tried to hear the heartbeat with that heartbeat machine but couldn’t hear it so they pulled out the ultra sound machine and saw it great. Heartbeat is about 179 beats per minute.
Movement? too early to feel but we sure saw it moving on the ultrasound!
Food Cravings/Aversions? We ate something with dry Ranch mix last night and yuck.
What I miss: My clothes fitting. I may not complain about my clothes again… nah I will.
What I’m looking forward to: Not looking like just a chunky monkey.
Nausea/Vomiting? I’ve been extremely nauseous this week but I think that’s partially due to finals.
Labor signs? Oh good heavens no.
Gender? Don’t know but I can tell you we’re finding out.
Belly Button in or out? still in…
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Sleep? They made me get a flu shot this week and I swear my ARM hurts. That pain has made my arm uncomfortable but they said it would last about 24 hrs.
Weekly Wisdom: It can make you feel nervous when they don’t hear the baby’s heartbeat through the heartbeat machine, but don’t panic. It might still be too early which was my case.
Due Date: Thursday June, 26, 2014. They’re using this as the due date again.
