Royal Date
Recently I was reading a blog post on the Top books to read in Spring 2018. Of course here lately it seems like I’ve really gotten into reading so I needed to check out what her suggestions were. One was Royal Date. I thought, okay, I’ll bite. I have a 30 day free trial on my Kindle for Kindle Unlimited and this book was on there so I thought, why not… Although it’s only $1.99 to buy I think so it’d totally been worth it buying it either way.
Royal Date
This Cinderella didn’t plan on a prince…
Kat MacTaggart is a girl who has a plan for everything—including her holiday ski trip to Monterra with her best friend. Everything is going according to plan until she finds herself careening out of control down a mountainside and being rescued by a guy who looks like Superman’s hotter Italian cousin.
HRH Prince Nico is intrigued by the woman he saved on the slopes and her refusal to date him. He offers Kat a deal—let him show her his country and he’ll pay her to write articles that will help Monterra’s tourism industry. Kat agrees, but given her past and lingering distrust of men, she has one condition—absolutely no kissing.
Thanks to the claims of a jealous British noblewoman and the schemes of a meddling paparazzo, Kat’s rule doesn’t seem to be a problem at first. But the more Kat gets to know Nico and the people around him, the harder it is to remember her keep-your-distance plan. Should she stick to it or risk everything for a chance at happily ever after?
Thoughts:
If there is one thing you should know about me, if you don’t already anyway, I really like Hallmark movies. Recently I was watching, what is actually a Christmas movie but it was on just a couple weekends ago, A Royal Christmas. So as I was reading this book, I saw Lacy Chabert playing Kat and Steven Hagan as Prince Nico.
Why them? Well, they play a prince and a “commoner” in A Royal Christmas.
One thing about it though, I’ve decided that I need to quit reading Romance novels and watching Romance movies. Haha. I may just be being a pessimist right now. That’s probably what it is. Okay, I’ll quit on me and my feelings.
The thing is… This was a good book. Definite read. Now, I got a little annoyed with some of the drug out descriptions and that inner voice of Kat who played a situation way more than she should have. But all in all, I really liked it. So much so, I’m ready to start the next one. So much for avoiding those silly Romance Novels. Don’t worry, I’m reading another book too for when I need a romance novel break.
