Week 7
How far along? We know for sure 7 but if you go by how the Drs office figures, then 8…
Total weight gain/loss: It has been up and down and up and down within the same 7 lbs so far…
How big is baby? The baby is the size of a Blueberry. Baby’s .51 inch embryo doesn’t exactly tip the scales just yet but baby is developing like crazy. Baby’s already doubled in size since last week.
- Baby is generating about one hundred new brain cells each minute!
- Not only is baby’s brain becoming more complex, but the heart is too.
- Also important: Baby’s developing a permanent set of kidneys.
- Baby’s arm and leg joints are now forming.
Maternity Clothes? nope, but a lot of my clothes aren’t fitting right which makes me sad. I’ve worn a lot of hubby’s t-shirts.
Stretch Marks? None that I know of other than originals
Best moment this week? We got to go to the doctor finally. Weirdly enough I think we were both kind of looking forward to this, however, I felt like they bombarded us with A LOT of information but the nurse was like don’t worry, we’ll keep reminding you. Good, I’m going to need it!
Movement? too early
Food Cravings/Aversions? I finally got my pancakes on Sunday morning
What I miss: My clothes fitting and not feeling like I look fat. Right now I’m at the stage I’m not showing, I just look fat.
What I’m looking forward to: Not feeling like I haven’t slept in ages! Oh wait, I hear that never goes away… I’m also looking forward to wearing my clothes again and not crying because they look horrible. I am also ready to not cry over the weather. Yes, you heard/read that correctly. I have no idea, I can’t explain. It’s those dang crazy hormones, I cry over the weirdest things.
Nausea/Vomiting? So far I’m lucky I haven’t gotten sick but knock on wood, there are still moments it could happen. I have felt blech and there are moments when I thought maybe I would feel better if I did. Last Sunday after we ate lunch, we ran to the store to pick up a few groceries and I thought I was going to be sick. It didn’t go away until I walked down an aisle that had absolutely no food in sight. Weirdest thing.
Labor signs? Oh good heavens no.
Gender? Your guess is as good as mine! I have it in my head that it’s a boy, I have no idea why but that’s what I think…Tbug has told us she wants a baby brother. My mother-in-law said she bought something that is definitely for a girl but she couldn’t pass it up. At this point, it’s a guessing game and no one knows.
Belly Button in or out? I have an inny thanks for asking 🙂
Wedding rings on or off? On. Sunday though my fingers were swelling up bad. It was a warmer day. Also, does anyone catch most of this weird stuff is happening Sunday…. odd I know.
Sleep? Other than multiple trips to the bathroom at night… oy… I’ve felt pretty rested but I still want a nap during the day.
Weekly Wisdom: It has been kind of interesting seeing the look on people’s faces when I fess up that I’m pregnant. Obviously, not everyone has found out yet and I’m still a bit leery of telling, but close friends and even just good friends are finding out this week. We haven’t gone public with this information yet though (i.e. this blog or Facebook, etc).
Due Date: Thursday, June 26, 201… Dr’s office agreed with what we found out.
