Homemade Waffle Batter

Hey what is this?

Why it looks like a new waffle Iron.

It smells like a new waffle iron.

Oh ouch, it burns like a new waffle iron, don’t touch it 😉

Consensus says, it’s a new Waffle Iron.

I have been wanting a waffle iron for a while now.  But some days I guess I’m cheap.  Cheap not easy as I say and my {step}daughter points out every chance she gets, even when it doesn’t apply.  Note to self, teach her what that really means… I’m frugal!

Anyway moving on.  I really wanted a waffle iron but couldn’t see spending $50+ on something I really wouldn’t use THAT much… But a while back I was at JC Penney and they had a coupon, spend $25 get $10 off.  Then on top of that they had a waffle iron (this one hint hint) for $69.99 on sale for $29.99.  Add my $10 coupon to that, I got a $70 waffle iron for $21 and change after tax.  SCORE!  See, my frugalness paid off!

So then I was surfing around reading blogs, I have a lot of food blogs I have a tendency to read, and one of them posted this Homemade Waffle Batter.  Bad thing is, I can’t remember which blog I was reading, so if you read my piece of the blog-o-sphere, and this is your recipe, please let me know so I can credit you!  Until that happens, know I didn’t make up this recipe, but dadgum is it ever so good!

Update!!  I found where I found the recipe, found Here!  Thank you Pinterest!

Yesterday hopefully I changed your life with a “diet” cake. Seriously… a cake mix and a diet coke. That can’t be real bad. A few sugars/carbs scattered throughout all the pieces of cake so it’s not even one slice. Just think of that. But I mentioned that when I heard about that, I wasn’t sure…
