I Will Survive

Today’s Prompt: Something difficult about your “lot in life” and how you’re working to overcome it.

This prompt is giving me issues.  We all face tough difficulties and while yes, when it is happening to me (us), I (we) feel like my world is crashing down on me.  That’s just it though, usually we come out stronger than before.

So I’m really at a loss for today’s post because I just try to not dwell on the problems, although if you’re personal friends of mine on Facebook you’ll have seen my joking comment about selling my spleen for gas money.  I think I do have a tendency to dwell on gas prices… :).  You know how I push through that?  I go to the pump and pay the ridiculous prices 🙂  By the way, like 2 or 3 weeks ago gas was $3.19/gallon around here.  Yesterday it was $3.74/gallon.

  1. Gas prices are killer. My car seems to speed through it like crazy, nothing like my old car that never seemed to need any 🙁

  2. Oh I know that feeling! I am so thankful for my little car and it's great gas mileage. I remember when we had our lifted K5 that got 6 miles to the gallon, I hated how often we had to go to the pump and how much it cost. I died a little inside each time we had to fill her up, ha ha!

  3. where is this prompt from? I need to write this exact post today! Doesn't it seem like when things are going down the drain that it just piles up!?
I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel!

  4. I'm a pretty “in the moment” person too. When I have a problem, I feel like I'm falling apart but when it's done and over with, it's just done!
