Snow Day

In the last few years, we haven’t had snow here in beautiful Southwest Missouri. In fact, last year was a rather nice winter. Good thing because I didn’t have a barn coat. Sad but true. So for Christmas this year that’s what I asked for. Boy, I’m glad I did. Since Christmas, we’ve had temps that hovered around 0˚F with wind chills closer to -15˚F. It’s been miserable. I’m not a cold weather gal.

Sunday morning we woke up to a light dusting of snow. Maybe less than an inch… Then we woke up yesterday morning to more snow. Okay, truth… Snow is gorgeous when it is fresh. Then it gets all marked up from tires to people to dogs, etc and blech! So I made sure to run outside just after it snowed to get some pictures. Today it is sunshine, but only supposed to get to a high of 14˚F. Brrrrrr!

Last night we spent quite a bit of time feeding cows because of course the tractor had problems. I also didn’t realize the truck was in 2WD and so I was sliding like crazy. Once I put her in 4WD I went anywhere. It was interesting! So that was my Monday. How has life been with you?

  • STILL Amazed

So all growing up you hear of stories of people marrying their grade school and high school sweethearts and of course being a hopeless romantic I used to always wish that would happen. As time went on it became more and more apparent that it wouldn’t happen, but that’s ok, I knew that God had…

  • Touching Story

This is a very touching story, very hard to read, about two brothers who were separated at birth.  It’s a story of Life & Death, and the cruel twist of fate. It’s certain to stir your heart and touch your soul. This is something I couldn’t help but share with my friends.

  1. Oh your snow pics are so pretty! I agree, so is so much prettier when it’s fresh. Last week we had two days of rain, so everything got yucky and brown… need it freshened back up again! 😉
