Exclusive Interview

Today is Miss Tbug’s 10th Birthday!  Wow, can you believe that?  I’m not sure I can!  10 years ago she all made us parents, I just didn’t realize at 19 that I would be a parent in 6 years or that I would have such a great kid in my life for now 3 1/2 years.  I’ve watched her grow and change so much in the last 3 1/2 years, I can only imagine what it would have been like to have known her for all 10 years.

A couple weeks ago when she was here for Christmas I decided to ask her some questions to just you know, linger over her head for the next 10 years or so 😉 and here they are.

1. Why do you like being a kid?
Tbug: Because there isn’t as much responsibility and you don’t have to go to work.

(I like that… I’m ready to give up my responsibility!)

2. What is your happiest memory?
Tbug: Riding KG for the first time.

(That was pretty cool!)

3. What do you like to do for fun?
Tbug: You should know that…. Ride horses, duh!

(Like I even had to ask, although I thought she might give me a different answer too)

4. What was the nicest thing you ever did for someone else?
Tbug: I cleaned their bedroom

(Hey, why didn’t you clean mine kiddo?)

5. What do you think you’ll be doing 10 years from now?
Tbug: Sitting on the couch watching tv. Well at least you have goals.  You do realize that you’ll be 19 almost 20,right?  No no no, riding my horse.

(I sure hope she isn’t sitting on the couch watching tv…. at least not all the time!)

6. What do you think makes a person good-looking?
Tbug: Nothing… She better say that… she’s too young to be liking boys. Hello, I’m not talking anything in particular, it could be you, me, grandma, memaw, grandpa… oh a cowboy hat.

(A gal after my own heart!)

8. What do you think your mom & dad do for jobs?
Tbug: My dad fixes computers, mom, I have no clue.

(hmmmm….Do I even know… lol…)

9. What is the grossest thing you can imagine?
Tbug: Kissing a boy.  Sounds mean but it’s true. I’m not going to date until I’m 30.
Yeah and you keep remembering that! {insert laughing from me.}

(Love it!  Boys have cooties anyway!)

10. What is your favorite thing to do with your family?

Tbug: uhhhhh…… Swim.

Wait, are you putting this on your blog?
Maybe…
Ha! duh!
Well that way I can show in 10 years what you thought you’d be doing in 10 years.
I think I’ll go to college and in my spare time I’ll ride my horse.  Wait, can I take my horse to college with me, because if not I’m not going there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TBUG!!!!  I hope this year is even better than the last!

Today is my 33rd birthday. I’m struggling with that number. While I’m happy that I am on this side of the ground, I’ve always heard that your 30’s are better than your 20’s. 1. Love love this!! This will be such a fun thing to have. And yes I don't think her thoughts on kissing boys will last too many more years 🙂

I interviewed my kids the other day– something I hope to start doing every new year, will be posting it next week.
