The Melting Pot – Kansas City, MO

Spread the love

**Pulled off my  Recipe Blog**

Our trip to Kansas City was kind of based off a trip to The Melting Pot.

When we got married 2 years ago, our honeymoon was in Chicago.  We walked around the city and decided one night to try The Melting Pot since hubby had never eaten at one.

It’s been 2 years since we’ve eaten at one and hubby has been wanting to go again.  So when we decided we were headed to Kansas City, we knew we had to eat at The Melting Pot again.

When you get there you receive your menu plus a pan that they turn on.  Once it starts steaming you’re getting close to being ready!

I loved the wine list, only because look you can get some Dom Perignon for $275 per bottle.  I think I’ll order 5…. NOT… lol :).

We chose to go with the 4-Course Meal.

FIRST COURSE

Boston Lager Cheddar Cheese Fondue
Samuel Adams Boston Lager®, cheddar and Emmenthaler cheeses accented with Nueske’s Applewood-Smoked Bacon, onion, Dijon mustard, Tabasco® and scallions

SECOND COURSE
Wisconsin Wedge Salad
Iceberg wedge with Roma tomatoes, Emmi Roth Käse Gorgonzola, Nueske’s Applewood-Smoked Bacon and Peppercorn Ranch Dressing

They also brought us this to try on our salad and food.  Holy YUM!

And look at the cute plates.  I so wanted one or 12, whatever 😉

Dipping Sauces

THIRD COURSE
Our entrée course is served with your choice of cooking style.
Fondue Feast
Seasoned Choice Angus Sirloin, Old Bay® Shrimp, Buffalo Chicken, Memphis-Style BBQ Pork Tenderloin and Wild Mushroom Sacchetti

Our cooking Style…

Hehe our burner after our meal course was removed….

FOURTH COURSE

We weren’t as crazy about their choice for the Fourth Course so we went with the Ying Yang Option.

Yin & Yang
This fondue satisfies dark and white chocolate cravings in an artfully balanced fondue dessert.
Dippers…
Enjoy fresh strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, Rice Krispies Treats®, marshmallows, pound cake and brownies choice of

Oh Holy yum but let me tell you, DON’T go there full and if you walk away hungry, it’s your own darn fault.

I definitely think you should go at least once in your lifetime if you ever get the chance!  btw in this picture, there’s also one in Hawaii that doesn’t show up on my little map….

Hey and you can even find them on facebook… like most places these days 😉
