Romano’s Macaroni Grill – St. Louis, MO

So one of my husbands & my favorite Italian places to eat just so happens to be Romano’s Macaroni Grill.  My love affair started back when I was a teenager down in Ft. Worth TX which just so happens to be the one I took my husband to when we started dating.  While we were in St. Louis we noticed that there was one just around the corner from our hotel, so we were sold.  We knew at some point during our stay that we had to go; Thursday night just so happened to be the day.

After we spent our day at Six Flags, we decided to go back to the hotel, get cleaned up and dressed up and head for dinner.  Btw, have I ever told you just how much I love Italian food?

As a starter, they bring you Rosemary Bread with olive oil for dipping.  In their olive oil, they add fresh cracked black pepper.  YUM!  I could make a meal just off this bread, no joke.

We decided to be adventurous and go for an Italian Cream Soda.  I went for the Blackberry and hubby went for the Blood Orange, however, we wound up switching.

We started with an order of Stuffed Mushrooms.  Italian Sausage, Goat Cheese, Spinach and bread crumbs.  YUM!  We ate them all.  There were no leftovers there.  Holy YUM!

For his entree, hubby went with the Mamma’s Trio.  Mushroom Cannelloni, Chicken Parmesan, and Lasagna Bolognese.  I think if I’d have been a betting gal, I could have ordered the Mushroom Cannelloni and been just happy.  The lasagna was good too, but I’m a picky lasagna person, I’m not crazy about strong Italian sausage in mine, but hubby loved it.  Then he was giving me fits if I wanted to try his Chicken Parmesan because it was sooooo good.

Why was he giving me fits you ask?  Because I ordered Chicken Parmesan.  Then he kept asking why he had to share bites of his but I wouldn’t share bites of mine.  Silly goose!  Mine. Was. Fabulous.  Just saying.

There is a reason I love this place!

One day last week, I had a rough day. Nothing terrible went wrong per say, just it wasn’t a good day. Again… I’d take it over a really bad day any day of the week, but still. Hmm…… I wonder how many more times I can say day in this paragraph… Anyway, like I was…

Over the weekend we had our 5th Annual Chili Cookoff and silent auction to raise money for less fortunate kids for Christmas. I always hate to say it that way… I’m just not sure the best way to say it (politically correct), so for now, we’ll leave it that way. Going into Saturday I was…

Hahaha that title really explains it all I think. I guess there are those out there who don’t like to eat or don’t like food, but I’m not one of them. I’m not sure how you forget to eat a meal. I’ve not had time before but I don’t think I’ve ever forgotten… Anyway last…
