On The Border – Oklahoma City, OK
One of these days I’ll quit talking about Oklahoma City and the AQHA World Show but today isn’t one of those days. Getting close though, I promise!
After the Amateur Go-rounds we decided we were hungry. It was about 1:30 or so, so we figured we’d have by passed the lunch crowd, but when we got there, we were on a small waiting list. About 20 minutes later it was finally time to sit and eat.
Like most Mexican restaurants, they started us off with chips and salsa while we looked at our menu.
When asked if we’d like to start with an appetizer, we chose the Queso. Hello yummy Cheese dip.
Original QuesoCreamy queso with fresh jalapenos, cilantro, and poblano peppers.
Dad went with the Chimichanga.
Hand-rolled, fried golden brown, with your choice of meat, cheese and pico de gallo, then topped with melted cheese. Served with choice of chile con carne, fresh sour cream sauce, green chile sauce, queso, or ranchero sauce. Served with Mexican rice and choice of beans.
Seasoned Ground Beef or Slow-Cooked Pulled Chicken
I went with the Quesadilla Combo with the house salad.
Combine a lunch portion Fajita Steak or Chicken Quesadilla with your choice of a cup of Tortilla Soup or House Salad.
Tbug went with the Chicken Tenders and French Fries
Served with choice of one side item and kiddie sundae.
Oddly or sadly, either way, she didn’t get her Kiddy Sundae or even the option of one…
Mom and Hubby both went with the Lunch Fajitas.
Steak or Chicken with sauteed onions & peppers . Served with all the fixings, Mexican rice and choice of beans.
My house salad. Sadly I was so full I didn’t even touch it.
The food had more of a Tex-Mex feel to it for me. My Quesadilla was good. Mom loved the Chicken in her Fajitas.
