Apple Dentures

So with all the recaps from Hawaii, I’m behind on other things :).  One of my dad’s bosses celebrated his 60th birthday toward early to mid-September, I’m not exactly sure of the date.  Anyway, last Saturday (September 24, 2011) they had a surprise birthday party for him.  On Friday my dad sent me an email and asked me if I could make these. (this is my picture yes)  So we chatted back and forth to decide when he wanted them by, etc and I told him, yes I could make them for him.

But they are so darn cute, now I’ll share with you how I did them.

Ingredients:
Mini-Marshmallow’s
Peanut Butter
Couple apples depending on how many dentures you want
Lemon Juice

Slice your apples thin.  I pretty much got 4 thin slices per side of the apple.

Then make sure to coat them well in lemon juice so they hopefully don’t turn brown fast.

Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on one outer edge of the apple.

Like so.  You probably could cover the whole thing but I didn’t see any reason.

Next take your mini Marshmallows and start placing them around the edge.

Do this for both a top and a bottom “plate”

Then I put a dab of peanut butter on the backside to help the top and bottoms stick together and smush them together.

And what do you get?  Apple Dentures!  That are edible at that!!
