Cow & Barn Sugar Cookies

Hi, guys!

Have you been wondering what I’ve been up to today? I’m so glad you asked. It makes it so much easier for me to share ;). haha.

Let’s set the story…

About a week ago I was asked to do some sugar cookies. We conversed back and forth, what she wanted, what I had/could do. It started with a tractor, but I didn’t have a tractor cookie cutter. Crazy, right? Farmgirl and don’t own a tractor cookie cutter. If we’re keeping score, I also don’t have a cow. I do have a horse and sheep and I think a pig… but don’t quote me on the pig.

I have another order for some farm animals coming up in December (yes I already have an order that far out) so I sent her the idea. These cookies were for her father in law, so we were afraid the cow would be a little juvenile, but she decided to check with her mother-in-law and she’d get back to me.

Well, if you can’t tell by the above pictures, her mother in law loved the idea of the cow. So that was set. She also asked about a barn. Oh dang, a farm girl and I don’t own a barn cookie cutter either. Dang, I’m slacking. Never fear, I told her I’d come up with something. That’s when it came to me… I have a jersey cookie cutter… why not just cut it up and turn it into a barn, right? And as you can see, that’s exactly what I did.

So this was 1 dozen sugar cookies. That means I’m now at number 13 dozen/300 dozen. That means only 287 dozen more to go…. Wish me luck!
