The Cheesecake Factory – Leawood, KS
Sunday morning when we were driving around headed to Buy Buy Baby hubby pointed out that we passed a The Cheesecake Factory. I asked if he’d ever eaten at one and he said nope. We decided that’s where we needed to eat dinner.
When we walked in, his first remark was, so this is where Penny worked? (Think Big Bang Theory :)). We got there early enough that there actually wasn’t a wait. I’ve only eaten at one maybe 2 or 3 times but there has always been a wait, not this day though!!!
Mmmm Cheesecake Factory!! I think my one complaint would be their menu is huge and that’s not so much a complaint other than it makes my decision on what to eat more difficult. Some days I wish I could just try one of everything!
They bring out bread to start. The bottom is an Italian bread and the top is a nice soft wheat bread. OMG, the wheat bread is my favorite. In fact, hubby and I got seconds of it and it was nice and hot out of the oven which made it even better!
Hubby decided to go with the Smokehouse BBQ Burger (from the Glamburger menu!). Smoked bacon and melted cheddar with crispy onion rings and BBQ Ranch sauce with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. He got his burger Medium well and that was very good. Still flavor but cooked just right. YUM! And the Sweet Potato fries were good too.
So hubby said he was good (totally agree) but he thinks I should order for him because my Chicken Bellagio was the bomb diggity. A crispy coated chicken breast over Basil Pasta and Parmesan cream sauce topped with Prosciutto and Arugula Salad. At first I wasn’t too sure about the Arugula salad on top but holy cow, they know what they’re doing! YUM!
The one bad thing about olive oil and noodles… it splashed me 3 times. dang it, I’m taking after my mother when it comes to eating 🙂 (Sorry mom! I love you!!)
So hubby and I figured that since we were at the Cheesecake Factory, we needed to get cheesecake, right? We weren’t really hungry enough though to eat it while we were there, so we got 2 pieces to go. I looked through the menu and finally decided to go with the Cherry Cheesecake. YUM! We shared it. It was good. And I used to not be a huge Cheesecake fan, but heck yeah, I ate it and loved every bite. Tastes do change! Good thing for me because I got to experience this cheesecake!
Just look at that yummy bite!
Hubby knew immediately he wanted the Strawberry Cheesecake. We shared it the next morning as “brunch”. Mmmmm, it was just as good as the cherry, except it was obviously strawberry!
The funniest part about the Strawberry Cheesecake was we were watching TBS (hey we’re on vacation and relaxing to the max). We were watching Just Deal With It and I pulled the cheesecake out of the fridge for this picture. Hubby didn’t see me do that so I put it away. Then he asked what I was doing and I said editing pictures and I asked if he saw me pull the cheesecake out of the fridge. He said nope. Yup, apparently he was into the tv… lol.
