Springfield Brewing Company – Springfield, MO

Spread the love

**Pulled off my Recipe Blog**

Saturday we headed to Springfield to go see the PBR, Live!  You want to talk about AWESOME!  I’ve watched local rodeo’s and of course on tv, but never seen the PBR Live.  It makes all the difference in the world!

My mom suggested we go eat somewhere close to the MSU campus and hubby asked me of somewhere close since that’s where I went to school.  I suggested a few places, then finally said, what about Springfield Brewing Company?  I’d eaten there one time before, back when I was in college, and have been telling my hubby about it since.  I really was looking for a reason to go eat there and finally was presented one.

Even more exciting, my parents had never eaten there either.

Located in Downtown just off the square.  Very easy to find really.  Especially when your phone isn’t acting up and will actually give you directions 🙂
The bar area was cool.  I’m not sure I’d want to have to restock all those glasses!
The Vats where they made the beer are behind glass windows and some tables are right there to enjoy the view
The decor though was awesome
and Just so you know I really was there 😉

Hubby loved these glasses.  They had them for sale and I’ll bet we wind up with some next time we’re there.  Very heavy and just nice glasses!
Tbug went for the Children’s pizza
Mom ordered the Greek Salad – Fresh greens topped with roasted garlic, artichoke hearts, Kalamata Olives, Feta Cheese and fresh tomato, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Dad & Hubby got the Bayou Chicken – Tender pieces of sauteed chicken breast and Andouille sausage with celery, onion, peppers, slow cooked in a traditional spicy Creole sauce and served over your choice of steamed rice or roasted garlic Mashed Potatoes.  Served with Jalapeno Corn Johnny Cakes.
I got the Mom’s Mac & Cheese with Chicken – Big shell pasta in an Alfredo sauce with four cheeses.  Topped with toasted garlic bread crumbs.  What I didn’t finish, Tbug chowed down on.

This place didn’t disappoint!  In fact hubby is ready to go back, not only for the glasses, but also to eat.

If I liked beer I’d so have to try what they had on tap, unfortunately they didn’t.  They should specialize in a Mai Tai, just saying ;). haha.

Look them up on facebook and Like them.

**These opinions are all my own.  They don’t know me.  Plus all pictures are mine taken with my iPhone or big camera unless otherwise stated.  I would so like to meet them though, and they can give me free food/things. haha! :)**
