Hopefully this is reassuring

Sometimes we wonder,
‘What did I do to deserve this?’ or ‘Why did God have to do this to me?’
Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she’s failing algebra, her boyfriend
broke up with her and her best friend is moving away. Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and
asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, ‘Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.’
‘Here, have some cooking oil,’ her Mother offers. ‘Yuck’ says her daughter..
‘How about a couple raw eggs?’ ‘Gross, Mom!’ ‘Would you like some flour then?
Or maybe baking soda?’ ‘Mom, those are all yucky!’
To which the mother replies:
‘Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the
right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! God works the same way. Many times we wonder why
He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things
all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all
make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you.
He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe,
and He chose your heart.
If you like this, send this on to the people you really care about.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

5 Years… Wow-what a ride it has been. We’ve seen our shares of ups, our shares of downs, our shares of bad attitudes and bad tempers and lots and lots of laughs. We’ve been through job changes, losing jobs, nights apart due to jobs, starting school, graduate school, and that’s only the beginning… remember comps…

Date:  May 7, 2015 Age: Dang it, truth be told I never remember… I’m… 31 Friday Nights: I’m not sure we’ve had a similar Friday night in a year. There hasn’t been anything consistent with us for a while sadly.

So we’ve been creating a list of things to get done tonight for tomorrow: PC needs a hair cut, need to pick up a prescription, I need to shave my legs. Wait, what? Why on earth would I tell you this? Oh wait that’s right, because I’m wearing a white dress tomorrow. Why, beats me!…

    History Lesson

So you remember last week when some of the kiddos in my life were discussing John Frank, aka John Wayne?  Well, I just so happened to pull one of my jump drives out of my purse Friday night looking for something on it when I stumbled across a paper I wrote for my first College…

  1. Awww, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful reminder! I have really appreciated the opportunity recently to reflect a lot on why bad things happen. I know God doesn't want or make those things happen, but I know that he can use bad situations for good. I guess the cake is worth it! 🙂
