Longhorn Steakhouse – Tulsa, OK

Spread the love

Back at the beginning of January we tried to go to Longhorn in Joplin for Tbug’s birthday but were unable to get in due to the sheer volume of people and wait time, on a Wednesday no less.

One thing we debated that night was if Tbug had ever been to a Longhorn Steakhouse.  We weren’t sure until we got down to Tulsa for Tbug’s cheer competition.  After her competition, she went to eat lunch with all of us.  We chose to go to Longhorn Steakhouse in Tulsa which reminded us that, Yes, she has been to a Longhorn Steakhouse, the previous year with us.

As with the Longhorn in Joplin, you start with unlimited freshly-baked Honey Wheat bread and butter.  YUM!

This time we went with different meals, but our steaks both came with a salad.  We both went with the Ranch dressing.  Yum!  I ate almost this entire salad because I’m sorry, the dressing, cheese and croutons really make a salad and their croutons are ridiculously fabulous!

We both went with a steak.  Aged and cut to exacting specifications. Boldly seasoned & expertly grilled. That’s a LONGHORN STEAK.  I would have to agree with what they said!

Hubby went with the cheddar & bacon stuffed filet.  I was jealous but wasn’t paying attention when he ordered.

White Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Filet*

A tender Flo’s Filet stuffed with aged white cheddar and hickory-smoked bacon, served over a savory brown herb sauce. 7 oz.

The steak was cooked medium rare.  Oh, it was like heaven in your mouth.  Trust me, if you like bacon and cheese, go for this and never look back!  It also came with your choice of side.  He went with a loaded baked potato.

As I mentioned, I went with just a 6 oz. Sirloin cooked medium rare.

Renegade Sirloin*

A juicy USDA Choice sirloin.

It was good, but I could kick myself in the butt (literally) for not choosing what Hubby got.  When it came to being cooked right, they got that down.  A perfect Medium Rare. Mine came with a side as well and I went with the loaded baked potato.  At first I started to be good and go green beans, but at least my potato packed punch!  Butter, sour cream, cheese & bacon.

We actually had my parents, my mother in law and Tbug with us, however I didn’t bug them with food pictures this time.  Didn’t want to wear my welcome out too much.  My dad got the same thing hubby got.  Again, I told you, you can’t go wrong there!

My mother-in-law went for the Firecracker Chicken Wraps  (We call these Firecrackers because they are bursting with flavor! Spicy grilled chicken and cheese wrapped in a crispy flour tortilla, served with a cool Avocado-Lime dipping sauce.)

My mom went for a grilled Chicken breast.  Now it looked fabulous and she said it was really good.

Tbug went for the Grilled Sirloin and french fries.

So this makes 2 for 2 of the Longhorn Steakhouse in Tulsa and 3 for 3 of Longhorn steakhouse’s in general that are knock your socks off yummy!
