Buca di Beppo – Las Vegas, NV

Since today is my birthday I thought I’d kind of focus the restaurant around my favorite type of food.  I absolutely LOVE Italian Cuisine. Pasta, love it.  Bread, love it.  Sadly it loves me too and as I’m getting older I’ve noticed my metabolism getting WORSE.  Come back my 20-year-old Metabolism!  Anyway besides the point!
The first time my mom took me to Las Vegas we ate at a restaurant called Buca di Beppo.  This is served family-style, meaning, one dish will feed 2-3 people.  Heck yeah, :).

Now the first time we went, we ate at the one on 412 East Flamingo Road.  It was near the hotel we stayed at which was just a few short blocks off the strip.

Lucky for you and me there are 2 locations in Las Vegas.  We ate at the one located at the Excalibur on the Strip this particular visit.

  • Hours:
    Sun – Thurs: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
    Fri & Sat: 11 a.m. – midnight
  • Happy Hours:
    Available Daily from:
    2 p.m. – 6 p.m. & 9 p.m. – close
    $5 quick bites
    $5 cocktails & import beers
    $3 domestic beers

Normally from my experience, you walk through the kitchen upon finding your seat.  Some large group is usually seated in there and they are the “greeters” while they’re eating their meal.  This holds true for the one in Kansas City as well as the one in the Dallas/Silverlake area I’ve eaten at.

The one at the Excalibur was set up differently because it was inside the hotel-casino.  Still, it was fabulous!  Definitely worth the visit.

We ordered:

Spicy Chicken Rigatoni

Awaken your taste buds with a new favorite – tender chicken breast sautéed with garlic and red pepper, tossed with peas, a spicy rosa sauce and imported Italian rigatoni pasta.

and

Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken

Breaded chicken breasts stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto, baked and topped with marinara, served on a bed of pesto cream sauce.

Oh, goodness was it divine.  Now, shame on me, but I’ve kind of made it my mission to collect their ink pens from all the Buca di Beppo’s that I eat at around the country.  Yeah, this one didn’t escape without me grabbing one.

have you “liked” them on Facebook?
They didn’t have a cute little map I could add to this post, so you should go check out their locations to see if there is one near you or near your next trip…

**Again these opinions are all my own.  They don’t know me.  But I do like free food… just thought I’d throw that out there!  Plus all pictures are mine taken with my iPhone or camera unless otherwise stated**
