Week 34
How far along? 34 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain/loss: I was quite surprised after a weekend at the lake, my weight didn’t go up that much, score, right? I feel like a walking beached whale right now. Especially trying to get off the stinking bed! Oh, and you should have seen me trying to get out of the bed in the RV this weekend…
How big is baby? Baby is the size of a Butternut Squash. She weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. {Holy cow, is there room for that in there??}
- She’s recognizing and reacting to simple songs if you’re singing them. (If you’re not, start! She may find them soothing after birth.)
- She’s also urinating about a pint a day. {Lovely thought…}
Maternity Clothes? Over the weekend I mainly wore a swimsuit, running shorts, and hubby’s T-shirts :). Cute right? I never bought a maternity swimsuit so I keep a t-shirt over it to not offend anyone… I’m afraid I will.
Stretch Marks? Did I tell you that hubby found one that runs perpendicular to my butt crack? Cute right?
Best moment this week? We heard baby’s heartbeat this week. Um… yeah so now I’m on weekly Dr’s appointments, which is scary! My left hip has been hurting since this weekend and the doctor said that baby girl is actually laying on the right (where she really likes) so it isn’t her. It’s just laziness on my body’s part :).
Movement? It still cracks me up when I feel her move. So Moo has been trying to feel baby girl kick for months now. Usually, if I’m standing baby girl is quiet. I happened to be sitting this weekend at one point and she started moving. Moo was close so I told her to get over here NOW! She finally got to feel her move. I also must have worked a bit much this weekend that Monday baby girl I’m fairly certain was tired because she hardly moved at all. But she’s back to active now.
Food Cravings/Aversions? So get this… I overheard someone say here recently that they ate everything while they were pregnant and their baby isn’t a picky eater. So I started going back through everything I’ve eaten hoping that I haven’t been picky. Really the only thing I haven’t eaten much of is Steak and that Bacon Onion Dip mix stuff from our local Amish Store. Now I know Tbug was picky when I first started coming around but now she’ll at least try things so who knows…
What I miss: This week, I miss not swelling up. I also miss being able to get up off the floor or out of a bed easily!
What I’m looking forward to: Meeting her. I can’t wait to see her eye color, her hair color if she looks like hubby or me, or a combo of both or neither. Hubby has blue eyes. I have brown (or as he calls them breen: some days they’re brown some days they’re green). My hair followed suit with my paternal grandmother’s family: blonde until around 20 and by then it goes brunette. Hubby’s was strawberry blonde in high school and has darkened but still on the red side. We both have a lot of redheads on both sides of our family. He looks like his dad, I don’t look like either of my parents. I just can’t wait to see how she turns out.
Nausea/Vomiting? Nope, not really.
Labor signs? well, not that I know of…
Gender? We have had them verify it’s a girl 4 different times. I’d say she’s a girl 🙂 but this weekend one of the boys going through the Open Water Diving Certification told me that his mom had 5 ultrasounds that said girl and his mom got a boy…
Belly Button in or out? Oh, it’s sadly still out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off, fo’ sho’.
Sleep? I can’t say it’s the most relaxing of sleep, but I can still pretty well sleep through the night minus bathroom breaks. Over the weekend I kicked the wall in the RV, that was funny. And I can tell you having to pee while in an RV isn’t the most convenient because the bathroom wasn’t working the best. I just said screw it and ran outside and peed behind. If anyone saw my rear, sorry! 🙂 We’ll add that to the Pregnant Girl Diaries!
Weekly Wisdom: Get out of my way if I have to pee :). LOL. I feel like I’ve become more clumsy. I keep dropping everything on the floor which is extremely difficult to pick up!
Due Date: Saturday, June 28 but she’s measuring about a week ahead of schedule… by golly I do believe she’ll come when she wants :). Wonder if I make it through Summer School before she comes…
