Gardening with the Fishies

Ok, yes, I said fishies.  I know that is not a word and that is not proper, I know that the plural of fish is fish.  I just wanted to clear that up… lol 🙂

So to finish up our weekend at the lake, let’s do some gardening, what do you think?  But this isn’t your “normal” gardening… nope, we’re talking about an underwater garden….

Hubby and I were on Divergirl’s Diveyak and we hauled the flowers out to about where the underwater garden was.  Now JT told me to look for the bubbles and drop them down.  I questioned if he was being serious, he told me no.  He said that Divergirl would be up to get the flowers as they were ready for them.

And I wasn’t kidding about the fish….

Divergirl and AL also took brushes down to clean off the flowers that were already down there after the day before’s safari hunt.  It caused a lot of silt, sand and everything else on the bottom to get stirred up.

Divergirl on her way up to where hubby and I were to get more flowers.

With JT’s computer, this shows you how far down under water the garden is.

And can you believe that AL’s tank is actually purple?

And that is how you garden under water.

And just for fun… a video.

Telling Hubby: Well, we learned that I the way I told hubby wasn’t the most creative… remember I walked into the living room, and said, look at this with the pregnancy test in my hand.  Yup, that was it.  His reaction was much better.  He had a plate on his lap and one in his…

If you haven’t been to a Sonic or even heard of a Sonic, I must ask you, what rock do you live under?  I mean, that might be mean to say, but if you watch tv or listen to the radio, you’ve probably definitely heard the annoying sonic commercial guys. Anyway, Saturday morning, we decided…

  • The Shack: Nacho Night

Nacho night was a big hit in my opinion. Everyone was told to bring Tortilla chips, I’d say we faired nicely, especially since there are more than what’s in this photo.  Now we have chips for a while. Liss brought Cheese dip that had white cheese in it. Angela brought Spinach Artichoke Dip.  Yum!

  1. That is really interesting! 🙂

And yes, I can believe it's purple. I actually manage to remember that light… diffraction?… under water makes things look different. 🙂

What a great time. I would love to learn how to dive, but I am terrified of water, haha!

Hope your week has started well. ♥

  2. I'm confused, so do they just leave the flowers down there all the time? Is it a private lake just for the divers? Also I had no clue that there were so many activities for divers! haha
