Cheese Please

First and foremost:

I may not be Irish, but I’m wearing green anyway because I’ve never heard only Irish wear green on St. Paddy’s day until today… Oh well, whatever 🙂  I don’t like getting pinched 🙂

Moving on…

If you are tired of my food recipes… maybe you should skip this post 🙂

Not a lot has been going on on the home front lately… therefore… Food RULES the photo roost! (ie memory card)

Let’s just put this out there,

The other night for dinner, that’s just what we had.  And I thought I’d share this recipe with you.  It’s super easy and how can you go wrong with cheese 🙂

Ingredients:
1 lb Sausage, browned
1 block Cream Cheese
1 Can Rotel
Chips

Directions:

Well to get browned sausage… I guess you need to brown it 🙂

Once it’s all browned, drain the grease and then add a block of softened cream cheese.  Mix it in well.

Normally we use drained Rotel, however, my husband found this at the store so we decided to use it.  I didn’t drain it though… so my cheese dip was a little runny but hey it’s all good!

Add your chips and you are ready to rumble, or eat 🙂

It works really well putting it in a crockpot and taking to a gathering with friends on the warm/low setting too 🙂

Enjoy 🙂

  1. Oh, that looks so good. I wish I had a way to heat up a skillet–I'd eat that for breakfast! LOL!

Only the Irish wear green? I didn't know that, either. How much Irish do you have to be? My ancestor were kicked out of Scotland so far back we don't even have a clan LOL. Then they claimed Londonderry, Ireland as their new home, so I guess I'm adopted Irish 🙂

  2. That looks really good – and looks like a recipe I can't screw up! Yay!

BTW – I never heard the “green” thing till this year either. And you can tell people off who pinch you because the orig. color that symbolized St. Patrick was blue (I forget why). “The wearing of the green” means literally pinning shamrocks to your clothes since they're how he explained the holy trinity & converted Ireland to christianity… aaand there's another brain-fart from the bunch of useless information flopping around in my head. LOL
