Have you ever seen the movie, “Last Holiday”?

Ok so it wouldn’t be cool to be told you have X-number of weeks left on this earth, especially when it was a screw up like that was….

But did you see the Emril entree’s that gal made?  Ok so I know it was a movie… I’m not dumb :)… but How Friggin cool!

And then to just sell off everything you know and make one of your dreams come true?  Ok still they weren’t the most ideal of situations… BUT….

It all worked out in the end… She opened her own restaurant (hope I didn’t just spoil this for someone)…

Hmmmmm……..

Or Paula Deen, who was scared to go out of her house for a long time….

She’s BIG TIME!

Ah now there’s the dream…

Maybe someday that’ll happen!

And there’s no time like the present to find a dream you have and try to make it come true!  Jacin has proved that too us!  I love what she said,

“Think about it – life’s too short to not live out your dream.  So go for it!  The worst thing that could happen is you never tried at all.”

Note: The title is Queen Latifah’s characters name.

  1. I just seen that movie over the holidays (again)! I really-really like it! You're right, sometimes we just need to go for it, so what if we fail! Just another chance to try again 🙂

  2. I love (and own) that movie! And you're right, the circumstances were extreme but that's what it took for the character to decide to take a chance, wasn't it? So…do we have to come to that point to take our own chances to really live our lives? It doesn't sound like it for you–and that's terrific! I think you should go for it!! 🙂

  3. Hi Nicole – just responding to your comment on my blog. I can't believe that that birth parents can get the child back years later! That is not done here. When the baby is 12 days old (not before) the birth parents sign the baby over o the state and that is it. They can not come back at all to try and get baby back. So we know for certain when we pick baby up at 12 days old that they are ours forever. I would hate to have in the back of my mind that they could be taken away from me. 🙁
