Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que – Rogers, AR

Sometimes I think my mom has the coolest job in the world.  Her job takes her all over the country and the world really and she gets to experience all these amazing restaurants.  Last Friday {Good Friday} she was on an airplane home from China, yes the country.  We picked her up at the airport and she was sooo ecstatic to eat American food that we decided to go try out Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que in Rogers.

I must admit, I’ve never eaten at a Famous Dave’s before.  When I was looking up the address for the one we ate at, I actually found out that they have them all over the place, so you should definitely check it out!

Glance at their menu!  I sometimes hate looking at menu’s for new places because I want to try one of everything… lol :).

The funny for the day was dad, hubby and I ordered sweet tea and mom ordered regular.  When the tea’s came out, the 3 of us got regular and mom wound up with the sweet. ha! 🙂

To start you off, they bring homemade barbeque chips.  Yum!  I kind of couldn’t stay out of them….

Mom thought they had Fried pickles but they weren’t listed under the appetizer portion.  When the server asked if we wanted to start with something, she said, “I thought you had Fried pickles.”  He was like, I have fried pickles, you want some :).

Wow, these pickles must have been sweet pickles served with what we were guessing to be a Remoulade sauce.  It was a nice sauce with a bit of a tang to even out the sweetness of the pickles.

Dad went with For the sides dad went with the Sweet Water Catfish and Pulled Pork Combo. Wilbur Baked Beans & Dave’s Jalapeno Mac & Cheese

Baked beans loaded with smoked pork, brisket, hot link sausage and jalapeño peppers.
Our homestyle version blended with four cheeses, corn and a jalapeño kick

Mom went with the Half rack of Ribs & Sweet Water Catfish Combo.  Her sides were the Potato Salad & Coleslaw

Potatoes with red onion, celery, hard-cooked egg, mayonnaise and a hint of mustard.
A zesty slaw that’s pineapple sweet with a hint of horseradish.

Hubby went for the same thing mom did, however for his sides he went with the Wilbur Baked Beans & Garlic Red-skinned Mashed Potatoes

Red-skin potatoes mixed with milk, butter and garlic.

I went with Dave’s Favorite Burger

Melted Jack cheese, two strips of smoked bacon and Dave’s favorite sauce – Rich & Sassy® – atop a char-grilled burger.

Our 1/2 pound burgers are seasoned 100% ground beef patties, grilled medium-well and served with spicy Hell-Fire Pickles and your choice of one side. Substitute a turkey burger for any of our ground beef burgers

Oh goodness!  Was it nice and tender and juicy and everything you’d ask for in a hamburger!  For my side I went with Dave’s Jalapeno Mac & Cheese.

I’ve never eaten at a Famous Dave’s before, but I must say, I was impressed.  It was very tasty and I think I’ll probably have to go again!
