I don’t know if you know it or not, but summer has officially sprung! Here in the midwest we went from Winter to Summer. Spring, what’s that? I’m pretty sure last fall we didn’t know what Fall was. We just fell from Summer into Winter. Crazy Midwest weather. But, that being said, It’s coming on…

    Anything Like Me

So I was driving to school this morning and this song popped on the radio. Heck I was so ready to break down and cry. In fact, I sent this song to hubby and the subject of the email was cry with me, won’t you. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZazrQYirYLs] On more than one occasion I’ve wondered what…

Last night I was standing in the kitchen. The way our house was designed, you can see the back door from the kitchen. Everyone uses the back door. to enter and exit the house unless it’s pouring down rain or slicker than snot. Then usually we use the basement route. Otherwise, EVERYONE uses the back…

So I’ve had to wear my glasses since Friday night.  Ugh!  I have an eye ulcer and I was sick of my glasses as of 10pm Friday night.  Good news, one more day of wearing glasses and as long as my eye keeps getting better I can wear my contacts again. We watched “8 Seconds”…

  1. I have a family of military men too! I've thanked them all today and have tried to remember to thank all the veterans I work with.

Be sure to pass along my love to all your family who have served! 😀

  2. I wrote to a hometown boy who was born in the States and therefore was drafted to Viet Nam. His letters back came on sheet of toilet paper or the backs of the silver paper in cigarette packages, comments like: “It rained here today.” At least he got to come home, so many didn't. I didn't realize until much later what he had been through. I think they don't talk about it to protect us from the horror of it all.

I certainly appreciate all the sacrifices made on my behalf and on behalf of others who need help.

  3. I hug my veteran everyday. Twenty years and 9 months in the United States Coast Guard. I am thankful for each and every man and women who serve or have served in the armed forces.
