"Easy" Spasagna

Happy April Fool’s Day.  I hate pranks pulled on me during this day.  I know, I’m a stuck in the mud.  Blame it on being picked on way to much :).

My favorite was walking down the road one time and the girl I was walking with yelled look at the dead bird and pointed toward the sky… you know trying to fool me.  Instead I jumped and spread my feet because I was afraid I was going to step on it.

Anyway, here’s a Delish recipe that is no joking or fooling around!  It’s wonderful!

“Easy” Spasagna
adapted from Plain Chicken

24 oz spaghetti
2 (15oz) jars garlic Alfredo sauce (can use light or make your own!)
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 (26oz) jar spaghetti sauce
1 lb Italian sausage or ground beef

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain.

In large bowl, stir together Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, milk, and Italian seasoning.  Add spaghetti and toss until well coated.

Pour spaghetti mixture into 9×13 pan lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Top spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.

Cover dish aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes.

While pasta is baking, prepare meat sauce. Brown Italian sausage in skillet. Drain and return to skillet. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer.

And in the mix of all of this you so need tunes playing!

Jason Aldean is friends with a guy here in town who is friends with my friend, so doesn’t that practically make us friends?  No?  Fine, I didn’t think so either… haha!

Remove pasta from oven.  Cut into squares and top with meat sauce.
