ByNicoleIf you were to ask me one thing I would wish upon my kid(s), my answer would be this… I would wish upon them the kind of childhood I had growing up. Yes, my parents and I butted heads a few times, that will happen when you have different/similar personalities together, but I had a…
Ft. Worth 2018
ByNicoleEvery year, I really feel like one of the true starts to the Christmas season is the trip to Ft. Worth. Since the hubs and I have been together, we’ve been able to attend Fort Worth and the NCHA Futurity every year. This year was no different. Thursday night we headed out after everyone got…

ByNicoleSometimes I love Love LOVE my iPhone. I get some easy shots that I might not have gotten otherwise, for whatever reason. Ok so the quality might not be even as good as some point and shoots, but heck, I still like it! So today’s post is brought to you by my new favorite app…
Run, Do Not Walk – Do Not Pass Go – Do Not Collect $200
ByNicoleI get teased a lot about being the Queen of Random.Yesterday at work probably was no different! I walked into one of my co-worker’s office’s and asked her if she had photos of her with her grandkids. To most people, that’s totally random and out of the blue. Heck if someone walked up and asked…
Fish City Grill – Rogers, AR
ByNicoleWhen we got down to the Pinnacle Hills Shopping center, we walked around Dillards and then our favorite jewelry store, Versona Accessories. As we were leaving Versona, I asked mom when we were going to eat. She asked what time it was and I answered 11:50 and I was hungry. She grinned at me and…
I'm sorry you lost someone you were so close too, but I love hearing your family stories!
You are so right! The Youngun is with her Granny Bob and Pop Pop right now. She loves to spend time with them, and I'd never stop her from going, even if I wish she'd stay home a little bit more. I still miss my grandparents!
She sounds like she was a wonderful person, and I'm sure she knew how much she was loved by you. What a lovely, sad story…and you're absolutely right; we do need to show our grandparents our love before it's too late. I'll spend the rest of my life regretting I wasn't a better grandchild to my grandparents.
Honestly – if I paid for my sisters education and she did that, I'd kill her! I do love her story – one day I'll share my grandmother's story, its a very hard but inspiring one!
Thanks for reminding us how important family is!
She sounds like a wonderful lady , And I be she was proud of you and the relationship you two had
I know what you mean about being grateful for all the time you knew your grandmother-I was the oldest grandkid, and was 17 when Pappy died. I have more memories than all the other kids, and it makes me sad in a way. Because they didn't get to have as much time… but I'm so grateful I did. I wish John could have met him too. It's hard losing grandparents.
What a wonderful post! She sounds like a special lady and she was fortunate that she had someone like you as a grandchild to appreciate her so much as well. 🙂
