Canter’s Delicatessen – Las Vegas

My mom’s job takes her all over the US and really the world.  She’s traveled abroad to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, England, Germany & China along with many states here in the US.  With that being said, she’s eaten at a lot of good and not so good restaurants along the way.
When I started dating my husband in 2009, mom found out he loved Ruben Sandwiches.  Since then, anytime she would go to Las Vegas she was always talking about the Ruben’s at Canter’s Deli and telling my husband he needed to go there someday and try them.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we finally made our way to Las Vegas this past May.  We wound up staying at Treasure Island which just so happens to be where Canter’s is located.  One of our goals on the trip was to try the Ruben’s at Canter’s.

Being inside the casino, it didn’t have the typical restaurant feel, but it was still very cool anyhow!  Look at this lamp.  I’m not going to lie, I kind of want a lamp like this.  It wouldn’t match my house and I don’t know what I would do with it, but seriously, how cool is this lamp.

The tables were stainless steel.  And look at the big Joker of Diamonds card, that was our order number so they knew where to deliver our food.  Classic!

Ok so I must confess, I’m not a huge Swiss Cheese fan, and at that, my husband and I generally tend to get different dishes so we can try multiple things at new restaurants.  I got an Italian Submarine.

Of course, the Ruben king had to try this sandwich my mom is always bragging about.  Let’s just say, he loved it!

While I was googling trying to find websites, Facebook, etc, I found that the original Canter’s Deli was opened in Los Angeles.  They have since opened this one inside Treasure Island, they have one at Dodger’s stadium and now a Canter’s Truck roaming the streets of Los Angeles.

If you happen to be in Las Vegas, I would suggest checking them out!  Hey, can’t hurt, right! 🙂  And if you don’t like it, don’t blame me!  We’re all entitled to our own opinions!

like” them on Facebook, all the cool people are!
Best of Vegas restaurant review.

Have you ever eaten here?  What did you think?

**Again these opinions are all my own.  They don’t know me.  Plus all pictures are mine taken with my iPhone unless otherwise stated**
