Week 11

How far along? 11 weeks 6 days

Total weight gain/loss: After a weekend in Ft. Worth I hit the 10lb gain mark.

How big is baby? The size of a Lime. Baby is about 1.6 inches long and has a 1:1 head to body ratio.  Baby now weighs about .25 ounces.

  • You can’t see it but baby is moving fluidly and gracefully in there.
  • Their skin is see through but it’s on the way to looking more like a baby.
  • Fingers and toes aren’t webbed anymore.
  • Tooth buds, hair follicles and nail beds are forming.

Maternity Clothes? Well, no, not yet… but I have still been wearing hubby’s t-shirts because I feel like I look fat.  I happen to know for Christmas that Maternity clothes are in my future.  I did get a Christmas pregnancy shirt (see above) that says Jingle Bellies :).

Stretch Marks? None that I know of other than originals

Best moment this week? When delivering Christmas gifts of Cinnamon rolls some of my family friends congratulating hubby and me and asking all about it.  I did happen to tell one of our friends that my dad needed a new loper :).

Movement? too early to feel but we sure saw it moving on the ultrasound!  Yes, we saw an ultra sound picture again.  They were able to get the heartbeat on the heartbeat machine this time.  Somewhere in the 150 beats/minute.  We had something weird happen, again (like at the 6 week mark) and wound up at the drs. office checking things out. All is okay.

Food Cravings/Aversions? While in Ft. Worth, all that rich food was starting to get to me so by the time dinner came I had difficulty eating.

What I miss: My clothes fitting.  Actually having a lot of clothes that fit.

What I’m looking forward to: Not looking like I have a beer belly 🙁

Nausea/Vomiting? I’ve been fighting the sick feeling on and off.  I think one day this week I over did it and the next day I felt horrible.

Labor signs? Oh good heavens no.

Gender? Don’t know but I can tell you we’re finding out.

Belly Button in or out? still in.

Wedding rings on or off? On. Although it is difficult to wear your rings when you leave them at your mom’s.  Just saying.

Sleep? um… naps are great.

Weekly Wisdom: I’m kind of paranoid with all the scares I have but at least now we know whats going on and that everything is okay.  Plus I got to hear the babies heart beat and see it yesterday.

Due Date: Thursday June, 26, 2014.  They’re using this as the due date again.

July 2013
We started off July with a Bang.  No seriously!  This year we attended 4 different 4th of July Parties.

Because we had so many Fourth of July parties, we did a Sunday Night Dinner theme of Leftovers.

To honor scuba diving I painted my toe nails like Scuba Diving Flags.

We finally had our last baby born this month.  Blondie had Spot…. er Little Man…. er whatever the heck his name is.  It’s December and we still don’t agree on his name.

Mom, Dad and I went picking Blackberries.  Then I made Blackberry Jam.

I made a video and bored y’all with chore time :).

I thought it would be fun to do a blast from the past.  I told you about moving to college for the first time.

AL made a knockoff of a Wendy’s Frosty.

We got Scuba Certified!!!

I participated in EmmyMom’s 10 Things to Smile About July.

Oh yeah… I turned the Dreaded 30…. Tbug and I spent the day at Silver Dollar City being a kid though so that works, right?

We ended the month by attending a Springfield Cardinals Game and watching ZebraGirl’s Cheer team.

August 2013
Hubby and I took a nice get away trip to St. Louis.

We actually got to go to a Dine-in Theater.  It was friggin awesome!

I was the first person on Snookums!  Let the record still show that!

I participated in Emmy’s 10 Things to Smile About August!! 🙂

My aunt came up for a visit.

I started School, this time working for my Masters.

September 2013
I started to do the Blogtember but pretty much started as soon as I started :(.

Hubby and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!

Every year hubby does the Describe the Woman of Your Dreams questions.

We headed to Metropolis, IL to go scuba diving at Mermet Springs.

Hubby and I got to see Kellie Pickler in concert.  OMG she should be filling stadiums!

I read a joke email about my dad and Mini Me

Hubby, Tbug and I went on the Ride for Life trail ride to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

I participated in Emmy’s 10 Things to Smile about September.

Week 10

How far along? 10 weeks 6 days

Total weight gain/loss: Still hanging in around +/-7lbs

How big is baby? The size of a Prune.  Now that you’ve reached 10 weeks, you can stop wondering when you’ll start to actually look pregnant.  It’s probably right around now, as your baby continues baby’s rapid growth and your tummy starts to develop some extra curve (of course, you still might be the only one who notices).  Now baby’s about 1.2 inches long and weighs about .14 ounces.  Baby’s body will almost double in the next three weeks.

  • Baby has working arm joints. and cartilage and bones are forming.
  • Vital organs are fully developed and they’re starting to function
  • Fingernails and hair are starting to appear, too
  • Plus, baby’s swallowing and kicking in there.

Now, let’s get this Extravaganza going!

This year we kicked April off by celebrating AL’s Birthday

Not to toot my own horn but toot toot baby… I made a Stuffed Jalapeno {with Cream Cheese, Bacon & Cheddar} Stuffed Chicken Breast.

Colonel showed up on April 7th.  Our second baby of the year!!

We went to church, Raccoon hunting and played with glow in the dark bubbles all in one night.

I shot my first bow & arrow.

I made hubby Martha Stuart’s French Onion Soup.

I gave you 26 truth’s in the forms of my ABC’s.

The dogs got in trouble for eating mail….

It only took just shy of 10 days for Colonel to finally get a name.

Mini Me made a follow up trip to OSU for a check up.  He was one of the only horses they had survive as well as he did and they wanted to check him out.

My first real life changing event happened this year.  I lost my job toward the end of April.  It was quite the shocker to me and pretty much everyone around me.  It was hard to see it then but it really was a blessing in disguise.

I rounded out the month with Emmy’s mem 10 Things to Smile About April.

AL did some pretty impressive Bow shooting….

We Want To Know Wednesday

 photo WWTKbutton-1-1_zps2077872a.jpg

{one} Dinner and a movie: what do you eat and what kind of movie do you watch? When it comes to eating, we eat out at all kinds of places.  We like Mexican, Italian, Steakhouses.  We’re not picky so to say that we’d pick one place, um… it’s usually more what we’re feeling at the time.  Movies… We watch them all.  Sometimes they’re romantic comedies (hubby loves them too) or Comedy or action… We don’t have a specific type.

{two} Name your favorite actor and actress: Lately I really like Zac Efron and it has nothing to do with High School Musical.  I’ve never seen High School Musical.  I like him in the other movies I’ve seen him in.

When it comes to favorite actress I would have to go with Kate Winslet.  She won me over as Rose DeWitt Bekater.  And then she was in The Holiday and won me over again.  I remember she’s gotten bad press for being “heavy” or “fat” but whatever, I think she’s pretty and a great actress.

{three} Will you watch any old Christmas movie or do you stick to the classics? We will watch any and every Christmas movie it seems like.  Hallmark has been our go to tv station this season.  I watch Christmas movies year round though…

{four} What is your favorite holiday movie? Oh gosh…. favorite…. um…. Elf ranks up there as does Home Alone and The Holiday and The Last Holiday and Christmas in Connecticut and oh gosh… I can’t answer this.

{five} Tell us one holiday tradition you have:  We make it a point to wait for Tbug to be here to decorate the tree.  I’m sure there may come a point in time where it’d be Christmas eve if we waited, but for now that is what we do.  We get together with mom’s side of the family as close to Christmas Eve as possible (working around my aunt’s schedule, she’s a dr and working around when we can get Tbug).  We go to Grandma’s house on Christmas morning and then we wait to see when everyone else is doing theirs and try to show up too.

Week 9

Happy Birthday to my momma!!

How far along? 9 weeks 5 days

Total weight gain/loss: Still hanging in around +/-7lbs

How big is baby? The size of a Green Olive.  Average size is .9 inches, .07 oz.  Baby is no longer an embryo–its now a fetus.  It is developing more distinct facial features.

  • Week 9 is a milestone. Baby is no longer an embryo – now baby is a fetus!
  • Baby’s developing more distinct facial features
  • And baby might now have a strong enough heartbeat to be picked up by a fetal doppler.

Maternity Clothes? Well, no, not yet… but I have been wearing hubby’s t-shirts because I feel like I look fat.

Stretch Marks? None that I know of other than originals

Best moment this week? Telling more and more people.  I no longer have to hide why I look chunkier.

Movement? too early to feel but we sure saw it moving on the ultrasound!

Food Cravings/Aversions? Haven’t really just had any true aversions this week but popped a lot of mints to help with nauseousness.  I was really craving french fries this week.

What I miss: I swear for as much as I talk about alcohol you’d think I drank all the time.  I really don’t.  Hardly at all even but this week for some reason I wanted wine.

What I’m looking forward to: Not looking like just a chunky monkey.

Nausea/Vomiting? I’ve had my feeling nauseous moments but other than that I’m doin all right.

Labor signs? Oh good heavens no.

Gender? Don’t know but I can tell you we’re finding out.

Belly Button in or out? I have an inny thanks for asking 🙂

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Sleep? Other than multiple trips to the bathroom at night. My dreams have been majorly vivid lately.  Almost to the point until I know I’m awake I’m not so sure they aren’t real.  When I get to sleep I wind up losing feeling in my ring and pinky finger on whatever side I’m sleeping on which is mildly annoying.

Weekly Wisdom: Mints are your friend when you feel nauseous.  My parents, husband and Tbug are PITA’s.  (Pains in the @$$) to me sometimes.  They’re teasing me and have been since they found out that I’m going to have to get a minivan.  Especially since I very much dislike minivans.

Due Date: Thursday June, 26, 2014… based off of the ultra sound we’re looking at July 4th, 2014…
